Sagar Bhat's profile

LLDC Museum Branding

During my tenure as a communication designer at Oases Design Studio, I had the opportunity to work on the branding and visual language development for LLDC Craft Museum in Bhuj, alongside crafting the identity design for their. annual Winter festival.

The museum's brief revolved around redesigning a unique brand language for the institution, encapsulating its cultural significance and fostering recognition. Drawing inspiration from the indigenous diagonal embroidery grid, traditionally used by local artisans, we aimed to weave a visual narrative deeply rooted in the region's heritage. Embracing this grid as the cornerstone, we innovated a spectrum of motifs and patterns, crafting a dynamic and adaptable brand language.

The resultant design not only exuded dynamism and versatility but also intends to streamline the yearly festival iteration within the overarching brand framework. This approach significantly bolstered the marketability of the festival while vividly celebrating the rich tapestry of Kutch's crafts, music, performing arts, and heritage in an engaging visual manner.
